The Chinese subsidiary of MVM EGI has won a 16 million Euro project in the Asian energy market in China, in which the Heller® cooling system developed by MVM EGI will provide process cooling to the power plant.
Contract negotiations following the completion of the project have been completed, with a ceremonial signing on 11 May between MVM EGI Cooling Systems (China) Co. Ltd., owned by MVM Group, and Inner Mongolia Electric Power Construction Group Co., China’s leading engineering contractor. With the project, a new 2x1000MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant will be built in China, Inner Mongolia. The Hungarian patented Heller cooling system was finally chosen from among several competitors to cool the power plant. Today, China is perhaps the most dynamically developing power plant market in the world, so winning such a large-scale professional and technical prestige project is a serious success, not only for MVM EGI, but also for the MVM Group, as this is the first large-scale contract since the technology contractor’s acquisition in January, which will continue to be a significant reference in the international power plant development market. In connection with the acquisition, the company has changed its name and from June continue its activities under the name MVM EGI Zrt.
